The International Hanns Eisler Society mourns the death of its esteemed and long-standing member of the board, the composer Prof. Dr. Friedrich Cerha. The musicologist em.o.Univ.-Prof. MMag. Dr. Hartmut Krones dedicated an obituary to Cerha.
Hanns Eisler set 40 socially critical texts by Kurt Tucholsky to inspiring and appropriate music in the 1920s/30s as well as in 1957-1961, not least on the initiative of the singer Ernst Busch.

Anlässlich des 60. Todestages von Hanns Eisler am Dienstag, den 6.9.2022 luden die IHEG und die Hanns und Steffy Eisler Stiftung (HSES) zu einer Gedenkveranstaltung auf dem Dorotheenstädtischen Friedhof ein (Chausseestraße 126, 10115 Berlin). Dort befindet sich das Eisler-Ehrengrab.
Die namhafte Jury aus Stefan Conradi, Stefan Fricke, Annette Schlünz und Ipke Starkeunter Vorsitz des Komponisten und Pianisten Steffen Schleiermacher wählte sie aus 33 Bewerbungen aus.
